Laura, Daniel and baby Jack from Staffordshire – Benar Bach

What a beautiful cottage, nestled into the most beautiful countryside – it is the nicest cottage we’ve ever stayed in (+ there have been a few!) Daniel and Paul you have thought of absolutely everything. The cottage is simply sunning – we couldn’t have asked for anything more. You are amazing hosts: from your initial contact to the delicious biscuits (thank you!) Nothing was too much trouble and you made us feel so welcome.
p.s. Dan managed to head out to explore the bike trails right on your doorstep and came back with a huge smile on his face.

Four nights in this quaint and beautiful place have not been long enough! We have taken full advantage of the most brilliant information packs, which helped us plan some local adventures. The weather each day has leant itself to breakfast on the terrace overlooking those stunning views of the valley. Everything has been perfect. Our only with is that we could have stayed for longer.

We have had an amazing holiday and have enjoyed our stay here at the cottage. The location is great, views are lovely. We have had lots of birds visit the table and two squirrels but what has made it extra special is to have been here with the lambs. Our granddaughter has enjoyed her Easter holiday and was very excited with the Easter treats left for us, so a huge thank you for those and thank you for the lovely welcome. We would definitely like to return again.

Our second stay at Benar Bach and yet again it did not disappoint. It has been such a cosy retreat from real life and a chance to get away from it all.

Thank you, Daniel and Paul. We will be back again to this home away from home.

Mark and Isaac from Hertfordshire – Bwthyn Rhosyn

A 5-day break with my 9 year old to introduce him to the delights of hill walking and general outdoor pursuits. We also did Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog which was a lot of fun – recommended if you are here with kids. P.S. I stayed at Benar Cottages about 20 years ago. Nice to know that it’s still at the same high standard it was then.

The walks from the cottage have been fantastic in all directions – to Tŷ Mawr, to Cwm Penmachno, to Betws-y-Coed via Llyn Elsi and even up on the hillside on the other side of the valley. The drive up the valley and then up the little road across to Ffestiniog was amazing and back along the main road pretty stunning too. We will certainly be recommending Benar Bach to our friends – it is simply stunning.

Sunny, warm weather. Lovely warm and cosy home. Well-equipped and very clean. Bed very comfortable. The birds and squirrel are a delight to watch and they loved sun flower seeds. Our surprise was the nuthatch – we never have them in our home town. The area is so spectacular – up the mountains, trains, in the Electric Mountain, walking by the sea and all easy distances away. Would come back to stay – it’s a brilliant place. Many thanks.

Chris and Graham from West Sussex – Bwthyn Rhosyn

What a charming and delightful cottage – secluded and quiet – well-appointed and tastefully decorated! It is so homely, comfortable and cosy especially in inclement weather with its thick walls – and all the more so when you know it has stood rock solid for centuries. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the homemade biscuits and the bottle of chardonnay in the fridge to welcome us. Daniel and Paul’s restaurant suggestions were spot on too.
